Since the last couple of months, I have been working with the “Couleurs de Chine” charity.
This charity has been helping bring education to girls from ethnic minorities in South East China as well as enhancement of the Miao, Dong and Yao people’s cultural heritage for the past 20 years.
I have just finish illustrating a colouring book for them.
It was such a rewarding experience and it feels really good to think that this project may help many girls in getting the opportunity to be able to go to school.
I come from a country where schooling and education is also a battle and I strongly believe that everything starts from there.
The colouring book will be available very soon, we are actively looking for a sponsor to finance the printing, so if you are interested or know someone who might be interested to be part of this beautiful and meaningful adventure, please share this post.
Here are some pictures of our first sample, the paper is beautiful and of high quality, you can easily paint with watercolour or any other media on it and it is 100% recyclable, there is no plastic lamination !
Couleur de Chine is also looking for future distributors, feel free to email them if you can help at firstname.lastname@example.org
A big thank you to all the people who have been involved in this project and to Couleurs de Chine for your trust. Special Thanks to Aude & Sophie who worked on the writing, Alexandra for the translation and to the little artists and their moms who came to the studio to test the colouring pages.
The colouring may look impressive but hey, this little 3.5y old nailed it!! So I’m sure you can too ^^
